Supporting All Our Learners

At our mixed age center, we believe that children learn best when they play with children of varying ages. This allows them to learn from each other, develop social skills, and build confidence. Our center provides a unique opportunity for children of all ages to play together, just like a family. Our experienced staff is dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing environment where children can and grow. Our teachers use specific teaching strategies to ensure that each individual receives the attention and guidance they need to succeed. Our goal is to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.

Infants

At our center, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care for our infants. We prioritize consistency by ensuring that all of our teachers are trained to work with infants and can easily fill in for one another. Our approach is influenced by Emmy Pickler and Magda Gerber, and we incorporate aspects of RIE into our daily practices. We believe in respecting our infants by informing them of what we are doing and giving plenty of time and freedom of movement to develop their physical skills.

Toddlers

At our center, we prioritize uninterrupted playtime for our toddlers. We offer plenty of child-directed free play opportunities, allowing them to explore their senses, develop physical skills, and work on social competency in a safe and fun environment. Our mixed-age setting challenges our toddlers to develop nurturing skills with younger children, while also encouraging their independence and risk-taking abilities. We provide daily water play, messy play, and art experiences to keep our toddlers engaged and learning to their fullest potential.

Preschool

At our centre, we understand the importance of preparing our children for their transition to school. That's why we invite all four-year-olds to join our preschool time every day after lunch. During this time, our experienced teachers work alongside the children to help them develop the skills they need for school. This time enables us to identify and gaps in the childrens learning or areas they may need extra help with.
