The following is a short list of questions commonly asked by parents who are looking to enrol their children at Kidlywinks Childcare.
Do you offer free (fully subsidised) hours?
Kidlywinks Childcare provide 24 fully subsidised hours of child care to families of all children aged 3 - 5 years, comprised of up to 6 hours per day across 4 days per week.
We also provide families of under 2 year olds up to 12 fully subsidised hours of child care if they are booked for 12 hours or less per week only.
What supplies do I need to provide for my child?
You will need to supply nappies, nappy cream, a lunchbox and up to 5 changes of clothing for all weather.
Do you administer medication?
We can administer medication such as antibiotics, inhalers or other medication if required.
Are children supervised at all times?
Yes, all children are supervised for the entire period that they are in our care, including nap times.
What is the schedule?
Morning tea - from 9.30 am
Lunch - from 11.30 am
Afternoon tea - from 3.30 pm
Have the teachers been trained in First Aid?
Yes, all teachers at Kidlywinks Childcare have completed and are up to date with a Comprehensive First Aid certificate.
What are the ages of the children in the centre?
The ages range from 3 months to 5 years of age.
Do you have a limit on the number of children you can provide for?
Kidlywinks Childcare is licensed for a maximum of 31 children
How much time do the children get to play outside?
We provide free access to outside for all children to choose the area in which they wish to explore (weather permitting).
Can I check in throughout the day?
You are welcome to call and check on your child if you choose to do so.
What child care education style do you use?
Here at Kidlywinks Childcare we offer interactive play-based learning. This provides all children the chance to actively explore their environment and the world around them through play. By exploring ideas and language, manipulating objects, acting out roles, or experimenting with materials such as blocks, natural items, play dough and paint - these are some of the ways children learn.
Do the teachers undergo background checks?
All Teachers at Kidlywinks Childcare are subject to police vetting.
